The Email

To Peter:

As a PFC season ticket holder and regular fan since 1984 I and many others are becoming increasingly worried about the current status and fate of our beloved club. As our CEO I find your lack of communication to the fans
disappointing and disturbing. You have in the past been very keen to point out positives within the club and prior to this summer whetted our appetites with the proposed take over and new direction of the club. The sceptics among us may say this was a coy sales tactic to prompt season ticket sales. I reserve judgement and give you more credit than that. However I do find the lack of communication from you now quite worrying. The club appears to be rudderless and sailing its merry way to the Championship. We have sold any asset at the club worth £3M+ and replaced them with has beens, freebies and even brought some out of retirement. I understand the need to balance the
books and that our long term infrastructure is important. But, will we need a 30,000 seater stadium and academy while we play Division 1 football? Surely retaining our premiership status is a priority. The rest is required to keep us
there. Its much easier to stay there than to get back there. I think its time someone in the club of significance broke silence and communicated with the fans. We can take bad news, we've seen it all before. What we cant take is silence and more false dawns. I and many others would welcome a response. Thank you

Reply from Peter:
As I have said to several supporters what is it you want me to say as I am as frustrated as you. Until this take over happens then neither the old or new owner is placing any money into the business, and when and if it does I am not yet aware of what finance will be available for players. The business has debts to pay and the banks are not releasing funds to us, so this leaves the club with no option but to sell to keep going.
I agree we need new players, a stadium etc but cannot do it without finance and we have had none of this for over 9 months, and I can assure you it has been hard work keeping things going.
Finally it is not silence but just do not have any answers to give you and I wished I did
