Another Day

So on Saturday I went along to watch Pompey play Glasgow Rangers, I had it in my mind that we would struggle with this lot even if it was not a full Rangers team, but I was surprised how well we played, we looked like a team well balanced and played well. We may not have a team full of stars any more but I have always said "WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A TEAM OF STARS WHO DON'T PLAY AS A TEAM, OR A TEAM OF NOBODY'S WHO DO?" So I was pleased with the way we played more than the result and we won 2-0, Frederic Piquionne was a breath of fresh air the loan signing seemed to do everything Peter Crouch didn't, but we will have to wait and see in the next few games. One funny thing did happen at the game a Pompey fan in the North Stand refused to give the ball straight back and got some abuse from the Rangers support, and he lifted up his t-shirt and flashed his belly with an applause from the Rangers fans, but the boys in blue took a different view and carted him out of the ground, and then the Rangers fans started to sing "Bring back fatty" very funny, I just wish the Police would back off and let us have some fun, we need it at the moment, if someone complained the fair enough but the Police took it in there own hands to spoil the fun.
So on the way home on the radio it was announced the the deal was about to collapse bad times ahead? whispers from Fratton Park about a seven day deadline for the deal to go through, this has been denied by the both sides,so this week should be interesting.
